This building was located on the Great Western Highway and was formerly known as South Creek House and Oddfellows Arms. James and Ann Landers owned the hotel in 1844 before selling it to James Byrne in 1870. He rebuilt the old hotel and renamed it The Commercial. The hotel was close to Byrnes Creek. The building was owned by Mrs Randall in 1950. It later became the home of Kelvin and Joyce Walker and Norma and Jim Gardner. On the western side of the building was a tyre service owned by Mick and Peggy Griffith. This photograph was taken in 1968 when it was a second hand dealer. The building was demolished in 1968.
