Wallacia Bridge is located at what was once Blaxland's Crossing. It became known as Blaxland's Crossing when John Blaxland built a causeway there to reach his Mulgoa Forest property located on the western side of the Nepean River. The photograph has been taken looking east and shows the Wallacia Hotel on the ridge. The hotel was opened in December 1937.
