James and Emily Wainwright's home was located on the corner of Bringelly Road and First Avenue, which has been renamed Santley Crescent. James had a blacksmith shop behind it and Emily used to run a small corner shop from the front of the house. The white house, part of which can be seen on the left, was the Wainwright's first home and was later purchased by James and Emily's son Percy in 1912. Emily's maiden name was Lawrence.
