Alfred and Sarah Walker married in 1883 in St Marys, NSW. Sarah was the daughter of John and Sarah Lalor of Druitt Town. Alfred was the son of James Walker and Jane Colquohoun of Ropes Creek. The family moved to New Zealand around 1909. Alfred and Sarah are pictured here with their seven sons. Back row left to right is Claude Pearson, Ernest Edmond, Alfred Boyton and David Robert. Front row left to right is Harold Howard, Alfred Walker, Sarah Jane Walker, James John and Frederick William. The date of the photograph is not known but it would have to have been taken before December 1918 as Claude died in that month from influenza.
