Arrangement:
Maps are separated into general maps of local significance (Local Maps - LM), Parish maps (PM), subdivision plans (SD), non-map related material (posters - PO) and plans (architectural plans, landscape plans etc - PL). Maps are numbered consecutively within these sub-collections as they are catalogued

Maps acquired by donation, transfer from Council department holdings or purchase. Some maps are copies purchased from other sources such as State Archives of NSW, State Library of NSW or the National Library of Australia.
