Mimosa, Pages Road, St Marys

Kirkland, E1986
Archives
Mimosa was designed and built in 1894 by Joseph Sainsbury for local businessman and tanner Andrew Thompson and is located opposite Victoria Park. The house is built of stuccoed brickwork with a timber and cast iron verandah and balcony. It has retained much of its original external detailing, including the iron palisade fence. At the time of its construction it was considered to be the most costliest building in the Nepean district. As a fine example of late Victorian architecture it was classified by the National Trust in 1980.
