Plan of the Nepean Road and Rail Bridge, constructed after the last privately owned bridge over the Nepean was washed away in floods in 1860. This elevation plan shows all four piers and sections. There is also a faint tracing showing the deck of the bridge and the side view of the bridge. Indications are made of ordinary water level and highest known flood level. River ground level and rock level are indicated. Two sets of inscriptions are recorded on the original plan:
" This is the plan marked number 1 referred to in ?? ?? to Her Majesty dated this fourth day of November 1862" signed William Tylar (?), ??, John Russell (?). Witness to all the signatures ???
"This is the Plan marked No 1 referred to in our argument with the Commissioner for Railways dated the seventeenth day of October AD one thousand eight hundred and sixty four" Signed William Watkins, James ??, Richard Watkins. Witness to all signatures J. Lee
