The site was originally part of Sir John Jamison's estate of Regentville. This Catholic cemetery is one of the earliest cemeteries in the district. Ann Laing was the wife of Barron Laing, She died in High Street Penrith on 7 April 1888 aged 41 years old. Edmond was her son.
