The chaffed corn was elevated directly to the silos. Andrew Thompson bought the Lenore property from Edgar Cox in 1897, where he established a large successful dairy farm along with his adjoining farms, Rose Vale and Lockwood. It was located on Mamre Road, south of St Marys.
