General notes:
JC394 : Message reads : Dear Mr & Mrs Gabb, My Dad asked me to send you this P.C., it is one the last buildings he had completed in Penrith. He is at present building several cottages of his own, We are having dreadful hot weather here, I suppose it is cold enough over there. I dreamt the other night that I was on my way to England, but alas it was only a dream. I have met such a lot of the English people that have lately emigrated out here & they are all so nice, fond love from us all Pearl XX
