Charles Beardow was appointed the first postmaster at Luddenham on the 1st March 1872, resigning in 1874. Caroline Wallace became postmistress until May 1895 when she resigned. Mary Anne Willmington was then appointeded postmistress. The Willmington family continued to run the post office over next one hundred years. This post office was built in 1895.
