This report provides comment to the question of having the Arms of Australia Inn site classified as a Regional History museum. The Arms of Australia Inn has been used as a historical museum by the Nepean District Historical Society (NDHS) since 1976. Council and NDHS have shared the management of the property, with Council undertaking responsibility for maintenance of the buildings and NDHS taking responsibility for the operation of the site as a museum. The conclusion drawn from this is that the present museum use of the site would appear to be the most suitable use for the site.
