A fundraising appeal has been launched by Penrith's Mayor, Alderman Brian King, to help finance the Lewers Art Centre in River Rd, Emu Plains. Mr King will seek patronage of the appeal from local and Sydney 'prominent persons'. He will also ask well known artists and collectors to donate works to be sold at the centre to raise further funds.
