Twenty-two children at the Mulgoa Mission a home for Aboriginal children were evacuated from Groote Eylandt off the coast of the Northern Territory in April 1942. When the home was closed in 1949, the children were to be repatriated back to the Northern Territory. Here Mrs Hall and her children wave goodbye to the home superintendent Mr J Potter and his wife.
