Ormonde House, located at the western end of High Street, was built by William Dent from the ruins of Sir John Jamison's Regentville mansion. It was later owned by Joseph Stanton. Penrith's first ten pin bowling alley was located opposite Ormonde House, and a sign for the bowling alley can be seen at the top right of the photograph.
