Lucasville Station was situated on the Top Points of the Lapstone Zig Zag, It was built in 1874 at the request of John Lucas MLA who had built a cottage above the zig zag. The station closed in 1892 when the Lapstone Zig Zag closed. The people in the photo are likely on an excursion led by local teacher and historian, Arthur Street.
