Nepean Cottage Hospital and Operating Theatre, Glebe Place, Penrith

The Nepean Cottage Hospital was opened by Samuel Lees on 3 July 1895. In 1904 an operating theatre was added along with an isolation wards and nurses accommodation. The hospital closed in 1956 when a new hospital opened in Derby Street, Kingswood. The Nepean Cottage Hospital was remodelled and opened as Governor Phillip Special Hospital in 1962.
