General notes:
Kelvin cottage is at 212 Jamison Road South Penrith and was part of York Estate. The Owners/Leasees are as follows: - Colless family – date not known; Abbott family - Bought house in 1891 by Joseph Abbott and wife Mary Ann Mitchell. Lived in house 1891-1924 (Joseph died 1921, Mary Ann died 1924). Had 8 children. Son Frank Abbott died in 1918 in WW1. Daughter May Reid (nee Abbott) bought house in 1926 via auction; Claxton family were leasees in 1930’s; Werner family - Charles Frederick Werner bought house in 1938. He was married to Ivy. He was a baker, but worked for Penrith Council as a Sewerage Inspector. Son William Werner died in plane crash in 1941.. William was with RAAF. Charles had fought in Gallipoli.. Charles sold house to Leslie and Pearl Plisky in 1963 and Charles moved to Wentworth Falls. He died in 1970; Plisky family - Leslie and Pearl Plisky bought it in 1963. The Kelvin cottage was sold in 2011.
