Funds for Bill Ball Oval: But confusion reigns after dual funding announcements held on same day

Last Friday Federal Member for Lindsay Melissa McIntosh announced that the Coalition would commit $1.64 million towards upgrading Bill Ball Oval if they won the upcoming federal election, including a new amenities building and car park. Confusion occurred when Penrith City Council announced the same day that it was funding a new amenities building for Bill Ball Oval in conjunction with the NSW Government through the NSW ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Cricket Legacy Fund. Council cannot comment on election commitments during a campaign, so it is unclear where the federal funding will be used.
