The Museum of Fire was opened October 17, 1987 by The Hon George Paciullo, Minister for Police and Emergency Services. The Museum of Fire is the first and only Museum in the world to examine the totality of fire. The Official opening had the performance of The Muse of Fire, commissioned by the Museum of Fire with financial assistance from the Music Board of the Australia Council.
