William Lawson born 2 June 1774 was a British soldier, explorer, land owner, grazier and politician who migrated to Sydney, New South Wales in 1800. William Lawson, Gregory Blaxland and William Charles Wentworth were the first Europeans to cross the Blue Mountains in 1813
