Belinda Atkins, Sustainability and Resilience leader for Penrith City Council, spoke at conference titled "Where the Shade hits the Pavement" organised by City Green, Urban Landscape Solutions in conjunction with Penrith City Council and WSROC. It was dedicated to actionable solutions for arresting urban heat, preserving and expanding tree canopy in urban areas to promote vibrant, green, cool and healthy spaces for cities and their communities. It was held on 19 July 2023. Belinda Atkins' speech was titled "Cooling the City".
