The Absurd Person Singular was a 1972 play written by Alan Ayckbourn. Divided into three acts, it documents the changing fortunes of three married couples. Each act takes place at a Christmas celebration at one of the couples' homes on successive Christmas Eves. The Q Theatre, located at the old Railway Institute Building in Penrith, performed this play from 20 April to 14 May 1978. Performers include Andrea Kelland (as Eva Jackson), Bill Conn (as husband Geoffrey Jackson), Elaine Hudson (as Jane Hobcroft), Richard Brooks (as husband Sydney Hobcroft), Vola Van Dere (as Marion Brewster-Wright) in the hilarious scene in the play at the final Christmas Party. This photograph shows four actors around a table.
