Explorer's Monument. Gov. Bourke Hotel. Nepean Avenue/Memorial Avenue Penrith (Near log Cabin). The monument was erected to mark the 125th anniversary of the first crossing of the Blue Mountains by Blaxland, Lawson and Wentworth. The Governor Burke Hotel was also known as King George IV inn, Riverside Inn, Pineapple Inn and Emu ferry Inn.
