Archives
From 1938 to 1942 Sydney suffered a severe drought. Commencing in 1938 as an emergency measure, an overshot weir was put across the river and a pipeline fed water to Prospect Reservoir. Completed in 1940, it initially delivered up to 180 megalitres a day to Prospect.
