Dissatisfaction on the part of the unemployed union at St Marys with the Red Cross Society's distribution of distress relief goods was an issue that perplexed aldermen at St Marys Council Meeting. An application for 16 unemployed persons to collect was granted with reservations. Discussion over the number of collectors needed. Discussion also on distributing dyed military tunics. Council decided to meet with the Red Cross to discuss the issue.
