“A Hard God” was a two act play written by Peter Kenna. It was the story of youth and age in a working class family as it suffers the pangs of love, death, adolescence and survival in the Sydney of the 1940s. In 1977, the Q Theatre, located at the old Railway Institute Building in Penrith, performed this play. It was directed by Kevin Jackson and designed by Arthur Frederick Dicks. The main actors in this performance were Ron Hackett, Doreen Warburton, Ric Herbert, Geoff Boon, Richard Brooks, Leo Taylor, Vola Vandere and Sophie Cassidy.
