The church and cemetery of St Thomas', Mulgoa were erected immediately after the introduction of the Churches Act by Governor Bourke in 1836. Five acres of land were donated by Edward Cox for the Church and burial ground and 38 acres were donated by George Cox for the parsonage and a site for keeping the Rector's horses.
