Community Services Minister Faye Lo Po has announced a four-month extension for implementing parts of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 - The extension followed requests from some agencies for more time - The extension relates only to out-of-home care, child employment and compulsory assistance provisions and those will be delayed until July this year - Mrs Lo Po said DOCS needed time to assess and plan for future demands on its services.
