Report of the Council meeting held on 3rd instant. Present - Mayor, Ald McCarthy, Smith, Colless, J Evans, C Evans, Long and Fulton. The minutes were read but so incorrect they could not be confirmed. The first matter deal with had reference to Ald McCarthy's question at the last meeting. Ald Colless contended that the present was an adjourned meeting, so no new matter could be dealt with. Mayor ruled Colless out of order. Motions were then made by different aldermen but the Mayor refused to put them to the meeting, and the request was made for confirmation of the minutes; the majority refused to sign. Ald McCarthy, Colless, J Evans, C Evans and Smith left the chamber.
