Municipal Elections

Articles
A paragraph about the forthcoming municipal elections. A sharp canvass is going on, and 2 out of 3 are already chosen, and another good man will be found among the other 14 aspirants. At present the choice lies between Alderman J Evans and James Price. Another paragraph states that we are likely to have a resident magistrate in the next batch. Dr Duncan and Dr Johnson have had some communication this way, but the inhabitants are waiting to see the proclamation, then they will require to know why Dr Bond has been overlooked, as he is a gentleman of longer standing here than either of the other two. Perhaps he is too busy. The other two should also look after their patients and never mind the Bench.
