Penrith Council will contribute funds to a program for community an environmental groups which aims to fill some of gaps left by the loss of Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment Management Trust - A report to council's meeting on Monday said the Local Government Advisory Group for the Hawkesbury Nepean had requested member councils in the catchment to contribute funds to the Community Grants Program - The Land and Water Conservation Department would provide $50,000 a year to match the funding the member councils contributed, the report said.
