Penrith State Emergency Services (SES) are holding an Information Night on March 3 to attract new volunteers to help with such things as communications operations during storms, providing catering, logistical support and fit, able-bodied members of 18 years and over to undertake activity in the field - The unit offers a range of Nationally accredited training in areas such as general rescue,storm damage operations, land search, chainsaw operations and more - The information night will be held at the Centre at Gipps Street, Claremont Meadows at 7.30pm - Anyone interested in joing should call the Penrith SES Unit Controller, Derek Hudson on 9673 1277 or email the unit at Penrith.ses.ops@bigpond.com.
