Penrith is an area of need for doctors and should be reported as such, according to Penrith City Doctor and Councillor Akbar Khan - Dr Khan alleges some local doctors do not want to report the Nepean area as an 'Area of Need' for doctors, as the already established doctors believe this would take work from them - Some GPs want there to be a doctor shortage as they don't want competition from new doctors coming into the area, said Dr Khan - Photo.
