It was announced on Sunday that in view of the extensive repairs and alterations in progress, St Stephens would not be opened until May 18, but the tea meeting would be held on Easter Monday. 250 pounds was required to help clear the debt of the building. The tea meeting has since been held and over 400 persons attended. The memorial window presented by the widor of the late George Thomas Clarke, bearing his name and date of death, is being placed in the Church. A new American organ is to take the place of the harmonium which has been purchased by the children of the Sunday School.
