Orchard Hills received its name after a democratic vote from the area's residents - In 1910, a public meeting of the residents of Frogmore, as it was originally known, was called to discuss changing the name of the locality because of the confusion being caused by a place with the same name elsewhere in NSW - Photograph of drawing by Collinridge Rivett of Penrith.
