Penrith Council has been warned it must spend $121 million on the city's infrastructure in the next five years to bring it up to an acceptable standard - The wake-up call came from auditor Dennis Banicevic who presented council's financial statement lat Monday night - While council is a sound financial position, he said it was important infrastructure such as roads and paving were not neglected - Mayor Greg Davies said council was looking at increasing its expenditure to $13 million a year, still $10 million short of the requirement - Asset manager David Burns said council was looking at ways it could finance the costs.
