'W P Howell made a sensational debut for the Australians against Surrey at the Oval by taking 10 wickets for 28 runs' - Daily Paper extract. Howell's great feat has been immortalised in poetry, which is a parody on the verse, 'Ten Little Nigger Boys' - 'Eleven little Surrey boys going into play, Howell went on and ten boys were they' ... etc. Submitted by 'London Punch'.
