William Evans, 75 years old, of Bungle Gully on the Namoi River, died in Orange last Sunday. Born in 1827 at Erskine Park, he married Eliza Colless, eldest daughter of the late Mrs Phoebe Colless of Castlereagh Street, Penrith, when living in Emu Plains. He suffered from asthma throughout his life. Cause of death was gastric fever and influenza. He leaves a 65 year old widow with six sons and six daughters.
