Airport Planned at Emu Plains

Articles
Plans for a large airport at Emu Plains, near Penrith, are to be considered by the Town Planners' Association of NSW at its next meeting. Mr Bertram Ford, President of the association, said that Penrith Council would be asked to co-operate. An aerodrome near Sydney bigger than Mascot was essential. Unless such an airport were built Sydney would be bypassed by airline companies. Passengers and freight would be transported to Sydney from the Emu Plains airport by helicopter.
