A concert in aid of Presbyterian Church funds was a great success both financially and musicallly. Held in Castlereagh Council Chambers, most of the leading favorites from Penrith took part - also local favorites - in a programme which was of exceptional merit, suiting all tastes. Mrs W R Hovenden, who is visiting, was undoubtedly the bright spot of the evening. This lady is noted for her ability in bringing all she undertakes to the greatest completeness. An accomplished musician, all accompaniments were played by her. She has the knack of making everyone around her feel happy, and we regret that she is not still amongst us.
