A SEND-OFF AT CASTLEREAGH FOR ERNEST FIELD AND ERIC DENNIS - GOING TO WAR

Articles
On Saturday night last, a send-off was tendered to two of our local lads, Ernest Field and Eric Dennis, who are going to the front with the 13th Reinforcements of the 14th Battalion of the Australian Artillery. Friends gathered at the Methodist Sunday School Hall to bid them farewell. Lieut. Plunkett acted as master of ceremonies, Ald. WE Lance took the chair. They both gave an address as did Mr J J Emery, the local schoolmaster.
