Community and conservation groups toda called for an independent inquiry in the Carr Government's 'brutal sacking' of the Hawkesbury Nepean Catchment Management Trust - Spokemn for the ADI Residents Action Group (RAG) and the Sydney Bushland Action Group say the trust was silenced because it opposed further massive development in the South Creek catchment, a major tributory of the river, and at the former ADI Site - ADI RAG'sHugh Todd said 'We believe the trust, by cultivating and helping to network community groups opposed to irresponsible development, became a threat to sections of bureaucracy and business.
