A report of a splendid and extensive entertainment at Regent Ville, the estate of Sir John Jamison, for which 500 invitations were issued. Major England of the 50th Regiment and Captain Collins from India accepted the office of stewards. Mr Cavendish was the master of ceremonies. A large ballroom was erected in front of the house. Some of the guests' names are included in the report, as well as a list of ladies and gentlemen in fancy dress characters.
