Events in aquatics, football, cricket, and coursing are reported here. In cricket, the Emu Cricket Club held its first monthly meeting for the forthcoming season. The secretary's report was submitted, in which was included the club's and players' performance ratings. The treasurer's report was read, and office-bearers for the ensuing season were elected. Subscriptions and fund-raising were discussed, and J King was elected delegate to the Association in place of W E Cattell, who resigned. In the coursing meeting held at Rooty Hill, the St Leger Stakes, Woodstock Plate, Supplementary Stakes and Impromptu Stakes were run off. Results given.
