The finalists in the Restaurant and Catering NSW 2003 Awards for Excellence gave been announced and several local establishments feature on the list - General Manager of the Log Cabin, Tony Patterson said it is a fantastic achievement for the Log Cabin to have been nominated in two categories this year - Four of the Log Cabin's Apprentice Chefs have also been entered in the Apprentices Award - The Nepean Waterside Restaurant was nominated for Best Restaurant in a Hotel/Motel/Guesthouse and the Log Cabin for Best Wedding Caterer - Other Penrith nominees include Panarottis for Best Pizza Restaurant, King Henry's Court for Best Modern Australian Restaurant, Penguins for Best Fine Dining Restaurant and Silver Spur Steak Ranch for Best Family Restaurant - The winners will be announced on Monday, June 16 along with the winning Apprentices in the Blue Mountains/Central West Region - Photo by Peter Veith.
