Articles
The historic first across-Australia train, which steamed ou of Penrith bound for Perth on Monday of last week, & went to Melbourne instead. Normal services were delayed by the half-mile long goods train, for which all lines were cleared. The train made an important stopover at Penrith, where 5 extra waggons were attached, & the train was split in two for the long haul up the Blue Mountains. Includes photo of train.
