Tragedy at Ultimo

Articles
Fig Street, Ultimo, was the scene of a tragic event, under circumstances of a dramatic character. A young man named Henry Williams was shot dead, and two sisters named Absolom, were fired upon and seriously wounded. From the full details of the incident, which are outlined here, we learn that the assailant, a man named Sydney Frederick Giblett, who is about 35 years of age, is well-known at St Marys, where he was born. His parents at one time resided on a farm out Erskine Park way, and later on his mother kept the store at St Marys railway gates. His brother, William, and himself were well-known in athletic circles. Mrs J H W Brown is also a sister of the accused. Full details.
