Monthly meeting held after the Mayoral election. Correspondence included a letter from the sanitary contractor asking for a standpipe to be erected near the park, at his expense - granted, water to be paid for by meter. From the Hawkesbury and Nepean A H I Societies asking for public holidays for Show Days. From St Nicholas Church asking permission to instal a meter and pay for church lights instead of present system - referred to electrician. From the PMG regarding paying half the cost of brickpaving in front of the post office - they had paid half in 1883 and would not pay more. Council to write again. From Council's solicitor re purchase of land adjoining council chambers - to be paid. From the Health Dept re establishment of a garbage depot. Petition from residents of Derby & Warwick Streets re water supply. Dairies and Slaughterhouses reports were received. Mayor stated that ordinances re fumigation of coaches which carried infectious patients should be observed. Draft agreement between Blue Mountains Shire and Penrith Council was discussed, to be amended and brought to a special meeting.
