In a victory for the 'safe option', Penrith Council last week decided to call the new South Penrith release area Glenmore Park, in accordance with the developer's request. Despite some lighthearted support for Rodney Field - after Penrith's former, now missing mayor - and lukewarm feelings about the eventual choice, aldermen agreed with the recommendation put by planning director Bruce McDonald.
